In 2011, lead singer and keyboardist Pete Ayres was writing and recording songs for his latest project. That year would prove to be a big one, as he graduated from Webster University and planned his move to New York City. Ayres had ambitions to further his education and create the band he always wanted - one with a tight rhythm section, a screaming group of horns and a pair of powerhouse backup singers who would help inspire the music he dreamed of performing. And after his first year in New York, he accomplished just that with the formation of the Pete Ayres Band.
Today, there are many variations of the Pete Ayres Band, and can be seen preforming with smaller groups of 2-4 musicians or up to 11 musicians on stage at a time! P.A.B harnesses a full, rich and complex sound, showcasing Jazz/Soul/Pop/R&B and folk influences from both the past and present. The band is notorious for playing energetic and dynamic shows, where the audience is just as involved as the musicians - singing, dancing and cheering throughout their performances. You can witness P.A.B live in various venues around New York City and on their frequent tours throughout the East Coast and Midwest.
